The sole idea of this enterprise is to make ROSHHNI a welfare organization a sustainable unit that is involved in education, economy and environment in the region of Jaunsaar Baawar.
Chetan has served in Indian Army for 07 years (2001-08). He was fortunate to have served former Presidents Dr.Kalam and Dr. Pratibha Patil while his tenure in President house. During his tenure in Indian army, he had the opportunity to stay with people of North-East and Jammu & Kashmir. This experience has enriched Chetan with a deeper understanding of challenges faced by people residing in mountain regions of India.
Chetan did his schooling/college in Dehradun and Delhi. After doing PG, he joined the Army. Post the Army days, he participated in Executive Management Programme for Defence from XLRI,Jamshedpur. He has also been an important part of the coordination team of the Queen’s Baton Relay during Common Wealth Games, 2010. Chetan is a mountaineer and also a certified Master trainer in first aid.
His experiences with hardship faced by his community led him to leave army, his first love and since been devotedly working to address issues faced by people of Jaunsar-Baawar region. Under the banner of ROSHHNI, a welfare organization, he is involved in various activities to promote education, local products and is spearheading environmental drives on a regular basis, like cleanliness drives and plantation of the native trees like BAAN, local name for the Himalayan oak.The initiative is helping villagers get better avenues for livelihood. In recognition of his continuous efforts, he has been appointed Chief advisor to the Kshetriya Vikaas/Nigraani Samiti and Secretary to the Nigraani samiti that keeps check on the various development works in the Jaunsaar Baawar region.
Chetan is presentely running the first local family enterprise in Chakrata named ‘Himalayan Paradise’ the pioneer in hoteliering in Chakrata.
KeshaV Pratap Singh Chauhan was born in Chinwan (Uttarakhand), where God itself lives. KeshaV is an enthusiastic Motor Biker & adventurist. He always loved to ride his wheels around Himalayas-“one of the best therapy in the world”.
KeshaV finished his schooling from PaontaS ahib, Himachal Pradesh. Later continued Management studies and did his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Dehradun. After finishing college degree, KeshaV decided to move overseas to explore his adventure journey and finished his PG in Tourism Management (2012) from New Zealand.
KeshaV lived 4 years in New Zealand and enjoyed it up to the extent by continuing his journey and lived around in New Zealand and had an opportunity to live in Queenstown-World’s Adventure capital, where he extended his limits and had a more taste of adventure. KeshaV met people around the whole world and learned about diversified cultures and lifestyles. He worked in Queenstown and Christchurch and continued his job in tourism industry itself. KeshaV always been an adrenaline junkie and great lover towards motorbikes and he continued his motor biking in New Zealand and touched the untouched region by riding around.
KeshaV always believed in his father sayings and had great vision towards the region as he always believed in the fact as the Jaunsaar and Bangaan region got great potential in terms of adventure and tourism as both are unexplored and untouched region. Instead of settling himself in Kiwi land, he decided to move back to motherland with a hope of developing tourism in the region and creating more awareness towards education, upgrading living standards, promoting healthy lifestyle and equality. KeshaV always took pride to be part of Himalayas and he’s presentely working in the region by sharing his experiences and taste of adventures.
